The Idea Behind Download Simulator
Before the early release of Download Simulator, I would like to share the ideas and inspirations behind this small project where I put so much thought into it.
One of my biggest struggles in childhood was dealing with slow dial-up connections speed. When you had limited time to access the internet and slow download speed, all you could is watch your download slowly progress percent by percent, and any disconnection meant you would have to start over again. That made impossible for me to experience a lot of multiplayer games at the time, and always made me dream about the fastest internet speed possible. Nowadays a download will rarely take me more than half a hour, and I am still eager to have more.
I had this crazy game idea once I was downloading a big number of files, and thought to myself if somewhere out there exists a incremental game about downloading fast. To my surprise I couldn't find any, anywhere, so I had to take the opportunity to make Download Simulator.
I hope you enjoy playing my first published game, and I hope you stay for more.
